Two people. One shared belief: every voice deserves a platform, and every story deserves to be told.
JB left the corporate world not because things were falling apart, but because something bigger was pulling at him. The moment he finally moved toward it was the moment Halftime Company became real.
As the founder and creative director, JB carries the vision. He's the filmmaker, the producer, the one with the camera in his hand and the blueprint in his head. He approaches every episode the way a cinematographer approaches a shot: with intention, precision, and a belief that the story only lands when the environment is right. His job is to build that environment every single time.
“We live in a time where you can document everything, so why not document what actually matters?”
Halftime isn't the end. It's the break where you reassess, realign, and come back with a better game plan. From podcasts and documentaries to brand films and digital platforms, JB built this to be the creative space where people finally tell the story they've been sitting on.
The name Halftime Co. didn't come from a boardroom or a business plan. It came from Nick, during the halftime of a game, pitching the idea to JB. That moment is the seed this whole thing grew from. He is the co-founder in the truest sense, not just in title, but in origin.
What Nick brings to every episode is hard to fake. He listens like it matters, asks the question most people skip over, and stays in the discomfort long enough for something real to come out. His faith informs everything without being a barrier to anyone. He's not there to push an agenda. He's there to make sure whoever's in the room actually gets heard.
“You don't have to walk every road to learn from it. That's what other people's stories are for.”
Nick shows up to every episode the same way: present, curious, and genuinely locked in. No agenda, no performance. Just a real conversation with someone worth knowing.
Understanding doesn’t require agreement, but it does require humility. Sit long enough with someone’s story and you’ll always find something you recognize in yourself.
No scripts, no safety nets, no judgment. We go after the conversations most people avoid because those are the ones that actually move people.
Austin-rooted and nationally minded. We build platforms for real people to share their perspective and unpack the questions that don't have easy answers.
Every detail of your story matters. We believe every life has intention behind it, and our job is to help people rediscover that and share it with the world.
